Baba's Classic Chocolate CakeF
Chocolate cake with a hint of coffee.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- ½ cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
- 1 cup strong black coffee
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt

Instructions
- Blend together sugar, oil, and eggs.
- Add buttermilk or sour milk (or milk with vinegar), strong black coffee, and vanilla.
- Sift or stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Blend dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
- Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed.
- Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan (the batter will be runny).
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
